COMMISSIONS Synod
The Synod of
Albany's structure includes four committees (personnel, nominations, finance,
and overtures and judicial business) and the Synod Mission Council. The Synod
Mission Council is comprised of 1 deacon, 1 elder, 1 minister from each
classis, 3 at-large (elder, deacon, minister), and the synod president. The
Mission of the Albany Synod Mission Council is to serve Jesus Christ in
partnership with congregations and classes through the proclamation of the
gospel, helping each other to call persons to repentance from sin, to faith in
Jesus Christ, to membership in the Church and to service in God's world. COMMISSIONS
